Extension Education Council<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Is a council having the authority to consider and make recommendations in respect of the Extension Education Programmes and Projects of the University.<\/span><\/p>\n

Functions:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Co-ordination of Extension Education activities for improvement of Agriculture and allied branches and for the development of Rural Communities;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Development of farmers Education, Training and Advisory Services;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Identification and resolution of field problems and transmission of information;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Methodology of Extension Education;<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Any other matter referred to it by the Vice-Chancellor, Board or any other competant authority of the University.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The Universities of Agricultural Sciences Act, 2009.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    The Extension Education Council consisting of the following members:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Vice-Chancellor – Chairperson;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The Director of Agriculture, Government of Karnataka;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The Director of Agricultural Marketing, Government of Karnataka;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The Director of Horticulture, Government of Karnataka;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The Director of Women and Child Welfare. Government of Karnataka;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The Director of Sericulture, Government of Karnataka;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The Chief Conservator of Forest, Social Forestry Government of Karnataka;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The Director of Watershed, Government of Karnataka:<\/span><\/li>\n
    • All Directors and Deans of the University;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Registrar;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • All Associate Directors of Research and Associate Directors of Extension:<\/span><\/li>\n
    • All University Heads of the Departments;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Two progressive farmers having specialization in Agriculture and allied branches nominated by the Vice-Chancellor to avail the benefit of their specialized knowledge and experience;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • One extension educationist of eminence from outside the University nominated by the Vice-Chancellor in respect of any meeting for availing the benefit of their specialized knowledge of subjects on the agenda of such meeting;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • One Agro-Industrialist nominated by the Vice-Chancellor in respect of any meeting for availing the benefit of their specialized knowledge of subjects on the agenda of such meeting;<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Not more than one representative from each of the following organizations limited to total five as per request of the Vice-chancellor,<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Karnataka.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Co-operation Department, Government of Karnataka.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The Karnataka Agro-Industries Development Corporation.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Water Resources Department, Government of Karnataka.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Fertilizer Corporation of India.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • National Seeds Corporation.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Any other Agro-Industry or Agro-Service Organization\/Seed companies.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Karnataka State Seeds Corporation.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Karnataka State Seed Certification Agency.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • NGO related to Agriculture and Rural Development.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Director of Extension – Member Secretary.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  <\/strong>All Members of the Extension Education Council other than the ex-officio members shall hold office for a term of two years and shall not be eligible for denominations to any of the Authorities of the University.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
