Staff Training Unit (STU)

        The Staff Training Unit (STU) was established in 1992 in UAS, Dharwad campus. The main function of the unit is to promote professional competency among the staff of various organizations within and outside the State of Karnataka. The unit is organizing institutional training courses; field oriented training programmes for personnel of Government and Quasi-Government and private organizations.

Mandates:

1. Identification of  the training needs
2. Development of appropriate training modules
3. Arrangement of the training programmes
4. Co-ordination between sponsoring agency and the University.
5. Monitoring the effectiveness and evaluate training programmes.
6. Servicing the staff of developmental / line departments, NGO’s, Banks and other organizations
7. Organization of need based training programmes to the Staff of University, Developmental   Departments and Allied Institutions.
